1. Donations
All contributions made to the Roman Catholic Mission “Sui Iuris” of the Turks and Caicos Islands (“TCI Catholic Mission,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) are voluntary charitable gifts supporting the Mission’s parishes, ministries, pastoral work, administration, and community outreach.
Donors are responsible for confirming the donation amount, frequency, and payment information before completing a transaction.
After the transaction has been confirmed, the donor will receive a donation acknowledgment letter for their personal records.
Because donations may be committed to the Mission’s work after they are received, donations are generally non-refundable. However, we recognize that mistakes and unauthorized transactions may occur.
2. Refund Requests
Refund requests will be considered individually. A refund may be approved in circumstances such as:
- Duplicate transaction: The same donation was processed more than once unintentionally.
- Incorrect amount: The donor accidentally entered an amount different from the amount intended.
- Processing error: A technical or administrative error resulted in an incorrect transaction.
- Unauthorized transaction: The donor reports that a payment method was used without authorization.
- Recurring donation error: The Mission received a timely cancellation request, but a recurring donation was processed because of a technical or administrative error.
Submitting a refund request does not guarantee that a refund will be approved.
3. Unauthorized Transactions
If you believe your card or bank account was used without authorization, contact us promptly. You should also contact your bank or card issuer because separate reporting deadlines and protections may apply.
We may request reasonable information needed to identify and review the transaction. Never send a complete credit-card or bank-account number by email.
4. Recurring Donations
A donor may request the cancellation of future recurring donations at any time by using the cancellation option provided by the payment service or by contacting the TCI Catholic Mission.
Cancellation requests should be submitted sufficiently before the next scheduled payment to allow time for processing. Canceling a recurring donation prevents future payments but does not automatically refund donations that have already been processed.
If a payment is processed after we have confirmed that a timely cancellation request was completed, the donor may request a refund review.
5. How to Request a Refund
Refund requests should be submitted within 30 days of the transaction date using one of the following methods:
Email: rcmission@tccatholic.com
Telephone: +1 (649) 941-5136
Mail: 1310 Leeward Highway, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands
Please include:
- Your full name.
- The transaction date.
- The donation amount.
- The email address used for the donation.
- The last four digits of the payment card, if applicable.
- A brief explanation of the reason for the request.
For your protection, do not send your complete card number, bank-account number, password, or security code.
6. Approved Refunds
Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method whenever reasonably possible. We will normally initiate an approved refund within 30 days.
The time required for the refund to appear in the donor’s account may depend on the payment processor, bank, or card issuer and is outside the Mission’s direct control. Payment-processing fees may be non-refundable where permitted by applicable law and the payment provider’s rules.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Donation and Refund Policy when our donation practices, payment services, or applicable requirements change. Any revised policy will be posted on the Website with an updated effective date.
